Physiotherapy recommendations

For case managers, solicitors and insurance companies we are often asked to produce short reports. These reports outline the extent of the child’s condition and whether physiotherapy will benefit them. If physiotherapy is recommended the amount, frequency and timescale will be given. The report can also include the goals that physiotherapy would work on.

Special Educational Needs Statements

Manchester Neuro Physio can create reports to advise what should be incorporated in a child’s special educational needs statement. A Special Educational Needs (SEN) statement explains your child’s needs and how best they would be met. There are six parts to a SEN statement:

general information with regards to your child and a list of advice the authority obtained as part of the assessment
describes the needs of your child after the assessment
describes the special help to be provided to meet your child’s need
the name and type of school your child should attend
describes your child’s non-educational needs
describes the help required to meet your child’s non-educational needs

Dyspraxia Report

Manchester Neuro Physio provide reports following an assessment on children with dyspraxia and other developmental co-ordination disorders. We can:

Assess children to verify / discard a diagnosis of dyspraxia
Suggest equipment, aids, adaptations, therapy deemed to be beneficial
Communicate with school staff with regards to the impact of any diagnosis
