SaeboStretch

What is the SaeboStretch?

"Finally, a splint to help prevent joint damage while improving and maintaining range of motion!"

Individuals who have suffered neurological injuries such as stroke, head injury, incomplete spinal cord injury or cerebral palsy often develop 'spasticity' or 'high tone' in their affected upper limb. This 'spasticity' or 'high tone' can cause the fingers and wrist to adopt a flexed (bent) position. If the wrist and fingers are not managed correctly and are left in a flexed position for long periods then contractures, or shortening, of the soft tissues (muscles, tendons and ligaments) will occur.

It is now apparent that a huge factor to regaining hand function following a stroke, besides the severity of the stroke, is soft tissue shortening of the long finger flexor muscles and tendons. The SaeboStretch is an award winning, innovative, dynamic hand splint designed to help prevent joint damage while improving and maintaining the range of motion of the wrist and hand in individuals with shortening of the long finger flexor muscles and tendons.
