Conditions Treated with Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)

The physiotherapists at Manchester Neuro Physio will be able to assess whether FES is suitable for you. FES may be appropriate if you have one of the following conditions:

The above conditions all affect the upper motor neurones.

Conditions affecting the lower motor neurones cannot be treated with FES. These include: FES cannot be used to treat these conditions but this does not mean that our other neurological physiotherapy cannot be of benefit to you.
